Insights into 3 years of research: Discussions, demos and exchange 

Smart Home has the potential to become one of the most important cornerstones of tomorrow’s connected IT world. That’s why, the SmartLive research project focused on the topic from a user-centered perspective during the past three years. Together with companies and users, various concepts and approaches have been developed to make smart home products more suitable for the target group.

The closing event of the BMWi-funded project will take place in Berlin on September 6th. It will not only deal with the results of research and development, but also discuss the possible future for players in the Smart Home area. In addition to a keynote speech by Thorsten Frackenpohl (noto) titled”Tamed techology – Design strategies for living with smart products”, test households will discuss their smart home experiences as well as point out approaches that make smart homes a new experience.

The event is aimed at municipal utilities, energy providers, architects, insurance companies, housing construction, smart home start-ups, care industry, smart home manufacturers, software providers, smart home providers, usability / UX service providers and industrial designers etc. Interested parties can register on the event page.
