KIQ

The living-lab KIQ promotes the encounter and dialogue between civil society and science regarding consumer informatics (‘Verbraucherinformatik’). In particular, it promotes sustainable food practices, such as growing food, distributing food, saving food, community cooking, and nutrition education, and analyses how these practices can be supported by digital artifacts. In addition, consumer practices regarding the redistribution of items, assistance and information provision for refugees/people with a migration background, as well as other activities that are part of civil society involvement and promote the encounter between cultures and different generations will be analysed and supported. After consultation with the city and the corresponding associations and initiatives, the University of Siegen will award student projects, final theses and dissertations.
